Curio Architects is a London-based practice founded in 2023 by directors Neil Fraser and Ashley Gopee, following many years running their own studios and delivering complex residential, commercial and leisure projects.
The merger has stimulated more innovative design and creativity, allowing the directors to pursue their passion for architecture.
Curio Architects operate throughout London and the home counties from their studio in Hanover Square, London.
The design process involves working with you to develop a client brief. This will take into consideration the site characteristics, client requirements and any constraints to establish an initial design. Curio Architects can oversee the whole process, including obtaining planning, followed by the production of technical packages and specification for construction.
A key focus of our work is adding value to existing property and utilising land for development. We assist with unlocking development potential, by using our extensive knowledge of the planning criteria and design proficiency.

Neil studied at the University of Kent, Oxford Brookes University and The Bartlett before becoming an Associate Director at Peter Taylor Associates Limited. Neil went on to set up his own practice before founding Curio Architects.
Neil has experience in managing the delivery of projects across a number of sectors, including residential, leisure and education. Neil also has experience in high end residential developments across London, working on complex projects including the delivery of One Tower Bridge for Berkeley Homes.
More recently, Neil has focused on commercial & industrial projects and leads this sector.
Neil brings enthusiasm, problem solving and management skills to the practice.

Ashley studied at the University of Kent, Bath University and University of Westminster. Ashley’s time in practice was spent working at Sheppard Robson and Peter Taylor Associates Limited.
Ashley has worked on a range of projects, including large residential developments, housing association schemes & leisure projects.
Prior to co-founding Curio Architects, Ashley ran his own practice focusing on small scale private residential work and new build housing. This included over 100 residential projects in a variety of locations with varying complexity.
Ashley leads the residential sector and has an in-depth knowledge of the planning process and maximising land potential.
